I lived in Vietnam for ten years, and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to return a few times each year to document destination weddings there. Although its not quite as popular as Thailand or Bali, Vietnam is becoming an increasingly requested place for destination weddings in Southeast Asia. Friendly people, great food, beautiful landscapes and beaches, a unique, vibrant culture, and affordable – its hard to beat if you’re planning a week away with your family and friends and want to go someplace memorable.

Vivian and Steve chose the incredible InterContinental Danang as their wedding venue, and they had a fantastic time there. The Intercon is fast becoming my new favourite place as a Vietnam wedding photographer – its got a great blend of unique design (thanks to the renowned Bill Bensley) and open space that offers a photographer plenty to work with time and time again.

But, as usual, a great venue alone won’t make great images. Enter Vivian and Steve, who brought smiles and fun and plenty of emotion to the proceedings. Their love was on display for all friends and family to see, and it was a remarkable wedding to bear witness to.
